What a neat sport....and what a great day. Up early again to catch the buses to get us to Cypress Mountain (about 2 1/2 hours each way).....beautiful, sunny day. In fact by the time we climbed the unbelievable number of stairs to the venue (over 200) we ended up in T shirts, and it was still hot. As soon as the sun went down (it was a 7 hour event) it got cold very fast. The place was jam packed with people, like every other venue we've seen and everyone was having a great time. We had one Canadian who made it to the final, but she fell.....it was won by an Australian....she had tons of fans in the stands.....they went nuts. We are learning a lot about sports we knew nothing about before.
